What is a Community Chaplain?

details of the program here

At The Order of Hildegard, a Community Chaplain is someone of any vocation or any spiritual path trained to support others of diverse backgrounds and spiritualities in mutual community. The chaplain may be an artist, a teacher, an embodiment professional, a food service worker, a home-based parent, an activist, a midwife, a pastor or any other vocation. They may not know yet where they want to lead and how, but the program helps them envision and practice leadership in new ways with supportive ideologies. Often our chaplains have experienced marginalization or disillusionment with traditional systems of religion. See our mission statement or see the details of our program here.
